Jack Meiselman (1899–1994) was a local builder, who at one point worked with the Alexander Construction Company but then started to compete on similar style homes. Jack designed a few new modern layouts and, with his brother Bernie, built roughly 350 tract homes sprinkled through Palm Springs, mostly in Sunrise Park and Racquet Club East neighborhoods, and a few in Little Beverly Hills. They built ranch style home from the early 1950s and then switched to modern (now refereed to as mid-century modern) in 1957. Read the Desert Sun article about Meiselman here.
