The festival kicks off with a bang at the glamorous opening 35th Annual Awards Ceremony on the evening of Thursday, January 4th at the Palm Springs Convention Center. This prestigious awards ceremony recognizes and celebrates outstanding contributions to the world of cinema. Filmmakers, actors, and industry professionals await this annual event of glamour and accolades for those who have left an indelible mark on the cinematic landscape.
Among this year’s award recipients are Emma Stone, Paul Giamatti, Cillian Murphy, Da’vine Joy Randolph, Greta Gerwig, Jeffrey Wright, Carey Mulligan, Colman Domingo, Danielle Brooks, and Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell. In addition, the film “Killers of the Flower Moon” will receive special recognition.
Happening in the heart of Palm Springs, the 2024 film festival promises to be a celebration of storytelling, creativity, and the magic of the silver screen. During the eleven day festival, films are screened at number of venues, including the Camelot Theaters at the Palm Springs Cultural Center, Palm Canyon Theatre, Palm Springs High School Auditorium, and the Annenberg Theatre at the Palm Springs Art Museum.
